120 players report as Hornets hold first practice

WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University football team officially kicked off the department's 2015-16 athletic season by holding its initial practice of the year Sunday afternoon.

Under the direction of third-year hed coach Scott Yoder, the staff welcomed 120 players to its first day of summer camp.

After reporting on Saturday, the Hornets began the day Sunday with conditioning tests in the morning in both the weight room and on Aikens Practice Field.

Following a lunch break, the squad moved to the Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium turf for additional testing before starting football drills for the final hour of practice.
