Q's Huddle Buzz - Vol. 3 No. 8

WINCHESTER, Va. – Sophomore Qlyl Middelijn is in his first year as the blogger for the football team. This week, Q recaps a milestone victory for the program.
I have been a member of this program for two years now, just as long as Coach Yoder has been our head coach, and we finally won two consecutive games in a row with our win Saturday at Catholic and it feels great.  Earlier in the week, as we prepared to play Catholic, coach asked us if anyone on this team has won two games in a row and everyone remained silent.
#18 Qlyl Middelijn
That silence put the utmost certainty that we will we do anything we have to do to win and that was the exact result. We came out with a 24-14 victory.
Its Homecoming week and we play No. 24 Hampden-Sydney tomorrow at 1. Why wouldn't we schedule one of the best, if not the best team, in the conference to play on homecoming? To be the best, you have to beat the best.
Hampden-Sydney is one tough opponent. As soon as the Catholic game was over our attention was immediately on the Tigers. Homecoming week can definitely cause a lot of outside distractions and that is not something we want to focus on. Our focus is striving to be the best team in the ODAC and earning that NCAA playoff berth.
It starts with us, nobody else. If every player does his part, there is no way we can lose.
We are a very good team when every player is performing his job and executing to the best of their capabilities. Come out and support your Hornets to#18
GO HORNETS!
