The Redskins held the Jaguars to 61 net yards in
the second half, the fewest second half yards allowed by the team since holding
the Oakland Raiders to 39 yards in the second half on Dec. 13, 2009.

The Redskins tied a team record with 10 sacks, set
previously on Oct. 9, 1977. The 10 sacks are the most by the Redskins in a game
since the NFL made sacks an official stat in 1982.

The game marked the seventh time since the turn
of the century that an NFL team has recorded at least 10 sacks in a game.

Kerrigan tied a team record with four sacks, tying Phillip Daniels
(12/18/2005), Ken Harvey (11/23/1997), Dexter Manley (10/2/1988) and Brian
Orakpo (12/13/2009).

The multi-sack game was the fifth of Kerrigan’s career.

Kerrigan
eclipsed 25 career sacks with his first sack, dropping Jaguars quarterback Chad
Henne in the second quarter.

Kerrigan now
has 28.5 career sacks, pushing him past Darryl Grant (27) for ninth on the
Redskins’ all-time sack list since the stat became official in 1982.

With a half-sack in the first quarter,
linebacker Brian Orakpo became the
fifth member of the Redskins to record 40 career sacks, joining Dexter Manley,
Charles Mann, Monte Coleman and Ken Harvey.

Defensive end Jason Hatcher recorded his first official sack as a member of the
Redskins and finished the game with 1.5 sacks. Hatcher was credited with a sack
at Houston in Week 1 that was later ruled by the NFL as a tackle on an aborted
play.

Riley, Jr. posted a career-high 1.5 sacks, the first multi-sack game of his
career.

Safety Ryan
Clark recorded his first partial sack with the Redskins since Nov. 27, 2005
at San Diego, a span of 3,213 days. On the play, linebacker Keenan Robinson also recorded his
career first partial sack.

Defensive end Frank Kearse recorded his first sack since Dec. 9, 2012 as a member
of the Carolina Panthers.

Quarterback Kirk
Cousins entered in relief and completed 22-of-33 passes of 250 yards with two
touchdowns and a 109.4 passer rating.

Cousins completed his
first 12 passes, the longest consecutive completion streak of his career.
Cousins’ longest career streak for consecutive completions prior to Sunday came
in Week 16 last season when he completed 10 consecutive passes vs. Dallas.

Running back Alfred Morris rushed for 85 yards on 22 carries. Morris eclipsed
the 3,000-yard career rushing mark with his performance, accomplishing the feat
in his 34th career game, the fastest in team history. The franchise’s
all-time leading rusher, John Riggins, did not break the 3,000-yard mark with Washington until his 38th
game with the Redskins.

In the second quarter,
Morris scored the 21st rushing
touchdown of his career. He scored his second rushing touchdown of the day
later in the quarter, the 22nd of his career, tying him with Don
Bosseler for ninth-most in team history.

The multi-touchdown
game was the fourth of Morris’
career and his first since Dec. 30, 2012.
·
Morris’
second touchdown was the culmination of a 92-yard drive, the Redskins’ longest
scoring drive since a 95-yard scoring drive at Denver on Oct. 27 last season.

Tight end Niles
Paul caught a two-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter in the midst of
recording career highs in receptions (eight) and receiving yards (99).

Fullback Darrel
Young scored the fifth receiving touchdown of his career and his first of
the season on a 20-yard pass from Cousins.

The touchdown reception was his first since a
62-yard touchdown reception at Philadelphia on Nov. 17, 2013 last season.

The touchdown was the second in as many weeks
for Young, who had a one-yard
rushing touchdown in Week 1 at Houston. Young has now scored a touchdown in
consecutive games for the first time in his career.

Wide receiver Andre Roberts recorded a career-long 19-yard rush in the second
quarter, beating his previous high of 15 set in 2012 as a member of the Arizona
Cardinals.

Roberts added
a career-long 37-yard punt return in the third quarter. His previous long was
25 yards, set in both the 2010 (Arizona) and 2014 (Washington) seasons.

Roberts became
the first member of the Redskins since 1999 to post a rush of 15-plus yards, a
reception of 15-plus yards and a punt return of 15-plus yards in the same game.
Brian Mitchell accomplished the feat on Dec. 5, 1999 at Detroit.

Roberts’
seven punt returns in the game were the most since Eric Metcalf vs. Denver on
Nov. 18, 2001 (seven).

Wide receiver Ryan Grant recorded his first career NFL catch in the first
quarter, catching a three-yard pass from Cousins.

Grant
finished the game with five receptions for 57 receiving yards.
·
Running back Silas Redd, Jr. scored the first rushing touchdown of his career on
a 14-yard run in the fourth quarter.
·
Safety Trenton
Robinson recorded his first career interception, picking of Henne in the
fourth quarter.

Kicker Kai
Forbath notched his 15th and 16th consecutive
successful field goal attempts, converting a 36-yard attempt in the third
quarter and a 42-yard attempt in the fourth quarter.

Punter Tress
Way matched his career high with a 61-yard punt
in the first quarter, set last week at Houston in his NFL debut.

Way recorded his first
career kickoff in the first quarter.

The Redskins did not
turn the ball over in a game for the first time since Week 17 of the 2012 season
vs. Dallas.

The Redskins scored 21
first-half points, their most since recording 24 points in the first half at
Minnesota last season. In those two quarters, the Redskins recorded 308 net
yards, the team’s most in a first half since Week 15 last season at Atlanta
(320).

The Redskins’ 21-point
lead in the second quarter was the team’s largest first-half lead since leading
the Dallas Cowboys, 28-3 (25 points), on Thanksgiving Day in 2012.

The Redskins extended their NFL-best sellout
streak to 386 games, including postseason play. The Redskins have sold out all
139 regular season and postseason games at FedExField.

The Redskins improved to 48-32-3 all-time in
home openers, including a 30-15 record in home openers since the 1970 merger.

The Redskins are now 5-1 all-time against the
Jaguars.

The win improved the Redskins to 1-1 against the
AFC South this season. The Redskins are 8-6 against AFC South opponents since
divisional realignment in 2002.

The Redskins are now 5-3 against AFC squads in
their last eight meetings.

The Redskins opened
their home slate in Week 2 for the first time since 2009. The Redskins have won
their last three Week 2 home openers (2008, 2009 and 2014).
